Market: Malaga to win against Gijon

Malaga welcome relegation-threatened Sporting Gijon to La Rosaleda in tonight’s Spanish La Liga meeting, and are big favourites to pick up all three points with how comfortable they’ve been on home soil in recent weeks, compared to the woes of the visitors.
Hosts Malaga find themselves 11th in the Spanish La Liga table with 12 points from 10 games this season, having won two and drawn one of their last four outings. However, at La Rosaleda, Malaga have been far more convincing, boasting three consecutive wins in their own backyard ahead of today’s clash.
As for the visitors, Sporting Gijon are struggling this season. The away side are currently 18th in La Liga with only three less points than Malaga, but Gijon have gone seven games without a win. Away from home, Sporting Gijon have picked up just two points from a possible 15, and are the second-lowest scorers in the division overall.
Victory for Malaga today could see them move into the top-half and level on points with Eibar in eighth place. Gijon could move out of the relegation zone with a win, but their form sees them as big underdogs. As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 8/11 for Malaga to pick up all three points.
